Congregation: Oswego, NY - Hello, Im Andrew Grant. I love camp Hunt. I love how God is the focus day in and day out, and you really just find so much out about your life and your relationship with God. I am so excited for this year, we have an incredible staff, and I know that God will work through everyone of us to impact the campers lives in a positive way, and also impact each other and build each other up. Camp Hunt truly is where friendships begin, long lasting solid Christian friendships. Every person who has a chance to go to camp or be a part of it is so richly blessed. I can't wait for another incredible summer!

School: Harding University
Congregation: Albany, NY - My name is Dave Farrington and I am a junior at Harding University. I've attended camp since i was VERY young and have basically spent every summer at camp for some amount of time. This place has changed my life in so many ways and big part of what made my experience so awesome was the amazing counselors I had so I have been working at camp the past two years to try to be that amazing counselor and make the kids experience awesome. I love sports, laughing is a must in my life and if a camper is in my cabin they wont have to worry about anything except learning more about God having a ridiculously fun time and not cleaning. This summer is going to be legit.

Hello, everyone!!!!!!!!
My name is Jacob, and I am extremely excited for camp to start. I’ve been coming to camp for as long as I can remember, and every new summer continues to amaze me. Camp is a place where everyone is there for one another, and we constantly find ourselves surrounded by not just the great outdoors, but also love and the presence of God. I can’t wait to see what God is going to do this summer. In the past I’ve seen kids that have come from very rough backgrounds be completely changed by the end of a week, and even those who have had a Christian upbringing come back with a greater understanding of being a follower of Christ.
Okay, here’s a little about myself. I’m 18, and this fall, I am going to be a Digital Cinema student at Rochester Institute of Technology. I have a massive love of anything technological, particularly video related. (You may have seen the Camp Hunt video that I put together last year, and don’t worry, I’m not making a new one this year, so I won’t ask you to be interviewed!) I say “sushi” when I sneeze, the first three toes on my left foot are the same length, and I am banana-phobic. I guess that’s everything you need to know for now!
I am excited to work with old and new counselors, play endless games of 4-square, and do a lot of campfire singing. If you want to get in touch with me before camp, you can e-mail me or become my facebook friend. I’m usually good at responding quickly. God bless!!!!!!!!!
- Drew Taylor

-
School: Whitesboro
Congregation: Utica, NY - My name is Drew Taylor, and Camp Hunt has always been my favorite place in the world. I’ve been coming to camp as long as I can remember, and am excited to be a counselor for the first time this year. Camp has meant so much to me these last 13 years or so; as I’ve grown, camp has had possibly the greatest influence on my life. At camp, God is so close, so easily seen... in fellowship, in the service and love of the various staff that give up their time. I have countless awesome memories of being at camp, and feel privileged to be able to maybe give some of the same kinds of memories to the campers that come this summer. I know that God will do all sorts of great things this summer, and I hope to see everyone there!
- Elliot Powell

School: ACU
Congregation: - My name is Elliot Powell and I am going to be a freshman at Abilene Christian University this fall. I have been coming to Camp Hunt all my life and it has made quite the impact on my life. The community at camp is like a second family to me and has been a dynamic part of my spiritual growth over the years. As a camper I always had incredible counselors to look up to, learn from, and try to model my life after. I hope that now given the opportunity, I will be as much of a mentor to campers as my counselors were for me. Im really looking forward to this year's counseling staff and the spiritual unity we already have together.

My name is Rachel Grant. I am a junior at Rochester College majoring in Secondary English Education with a minor in Biology.
I absolutely love Camp. I've pretty much spent every summer since the age of 5 at camp. When my friends would ask what my summer plans were I'd say I'm spending six weeks at Camp Hunt. Summer to me was all about Camp and is still all about camp. This will be my third or fourth official year as a counselor. I have worked many positions at camp throughout the years. Most of my spiritual growth has come from my experiences at camp. It has helped shape me into the Christian I am today. I am blessed because of Camp and the people involved. Some of my favorite things about camp are the thundering and lightning storms, singing at Grindley, cabin devos, the friendships that develop, and the laughter that is shared. I love being able to wake up every morning, meet around the flagpole, and start my day off with God as my focus. I am very excited to have my family on staff again this summer. I'm glad we get to experience it together. I'm excited to meet the new staff members and to be reunited with the old, as well as the campers. Camp is a great place to develop friendships that will last a lifetime. I can't wait for this summer to get here and the camping season to start.

Hi! I'm Becca Nicholas. I am a Junior at Harding University and am working towards becoming a nurse.
Camp is amazing. God is alive and real all the time and it shows the minute you drive on to Camp Hunt. God is in the people who work there, He is in the beauty of the land, but most of all He is in the campers that come to camp. I cannot wait for another summer of being able to watch God be alive and real in the campers. Last year was my first year working at camp and from the very first week I knew that it would not be my last. There is something about camp that can really just not be explained with words. All I know, is that the people that work at camp and the campers that come to camp are all there to glorify God, and I don't think that there is anything better than that. I am so looking forward to working at camp this summer and being able to see the love of God and the joy that is brought through Him every single day. From the minute that flag pole starts to the time that lights are turned out, God is seen at Camp Hunt. I am so blessed by God to be able to work another summer at one of the best places on earth.

HI!! My name is Mackenzie Enlgish. I am one of the five 17 year olds that will be counseling this summer at camp. I like
to be fun and outgoing but very chill at the same time,in my cabin you will have a great time! But on a more serious note,
to be at camp is one of the greatest things that has ever happened in my life. to be at camp is to be in a bubble with God
and all your christian friends, with no worldly influences. the best part is that at camp you will grow spiritually, either
a small step or a huge new understanding that helps you step closer to God. This summer at camp I will help you in any way I
can to give you that new lesson to go home with and face the world outside with confidence.
On another note the campers in my cabin better be prepared to learn, listen, and have an awesome time!!! Honestly - camp, like anything else, is what you make of it and when you are positve and want to have a great time, you WILL have a great time. I can't wait to see everyone at camp.

School: Johnstown High School
Congregation: Johnstown, NY -
Hey everyone!
My name is Brittany Garvine. I'm 17 yeas old and I go to Johnstown High School.
I've been coming to Camp ever since I can remember. I've been a camper since I was eight, and I've been a CIT and JC as well. This will be my first year as an official counselor, and I'm super excited! Camp Hunt has always been close to my heart. In the summer of 2006, I became a Christian at Camp. Most of my spiritual growth have been because of my experiences here. I feel so much joy and happiness when I can see campers grow in their faith through the week, and it's my goal this summer to help my campers get to experience the growth that my counselors helped me to experience through my years as a camper. Camp is so amazing simply because God is at work in everyone there, and everyone is there to serve.
To all the girls who will be in my cabin this summer, there are a few things I can guarantee: you're going to make a lot of new friends, we're going to have a lot of awesome devotionals and late night chats, you're going to be in for a treat with some dance parties, you're going to learn a lot of awesome new songs, you will strengthen your relationship with God, you'll eat some really good food (thanks to our wonderful kitchen staff), and you WILL want to come back next summer!
So get ready for a lot of crazy skits, some mud soccer in the rain, great arts and crafts, amazing singing at Grindley, and a lot of gazing into the stars,... because it's going to be an awesome summer!
I am so grateful that I am blessed with the opportunity to serve at Camp Hunt this summer as a counselor! I can't wait to meet all of you, and get to know you all! If you want to get in touch with me before the summer sessions start, my cell number is; 518-332-1844.

- Michelle Harvey

School: Vassar College
Congregation: Utica, NY -
Hey everybody! My name is Michelle Harvey and I am proud to say that this summer will be my first ever as a counselor
at Camp Hunt. (Woot!) I first came to camp when I was 12 and have loved it ever since. At camp, God’s handiwork is plain
for us to see and it is incredible. I love to see all different kinds of people united in Christ and excited to learn more
about Him.
I’m a little kooky and a little crazy which equals a lot of fun. I’m totally psyched to meet new people, write a bunch of warm fuzzies, and give a lot of hugs. Camp Hunt has always been a retreat from the stress of everyday life where I could sit back and thoroughly enjoy focusing on God. I can’t wait for that experience again this year, and I think that it will be even more amazing as a counselor. =D
